Friday 25/01/2019 has been declared a day of Total Fire Ban for the whole State of Victoria.

No fire can be lit in the open air or be allowed to remain alight in the open air between 00:01 on Fri, 25 Jan 2019 and 23:59 on Fri, 25 Jan 2019.

Tuesday January 15 has been declared a day of Total Fire ban for the State of Victoria.

From Parks Victoria: In accordance with the Emergency Management Plan for the Dandenong Ranges National Park and Dandenong Ranges Gardens, the current Fire Danger Rating has triggered the closure of the following properties today (Friday 4 January 2019):


All of Dandenong Ranges National Park including;
• Ferntree Gully picnic ground (1000 steps)
• One Tree Hill Picnic Ground
• Doongalla Picnic Ground
• Valley Picnic Ground
• Eagles Nest Picnic Ground
• Silvan Reservoir Park
• Grants Picnic ground
• Olinda Falls
• Kalorama Park
• Sherbrooke picnic ground
• O’Donohues picnic ground
